Manager, Data EngineeringOverviewThe GBSC Analytics & Automation team enables data-driven decision-making through scalable data platforms, automation, and analytics capabilities. We are seeking a Manager – Data Engineering to lead the design and delivery of robust data pipelines and data platforms that support analytics, reporting, and AI use cases.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead multiple analytics projects and initiatives within GBSC and Mastercard
- Lead design and development of scalable data pipelines and platforms
- Manage and mentor a team of data engineers
- Partner with business and analytics teams to translate requirements into solutions
- Drive best practices in data quality, governance, and security
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of data engineering projects
- Optimize data workflows for performance and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Governance and AI/ML
- Ensure operational stability through monitoring and continuous improvement
- Experience in data engineering and ETL/ELT pipelines
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Experience with data platforms (Eg: Databricks)
- Understanding of data architecture (Lakehouse, Warehousing)
- Strong stakeholder and team management skills
- Experience working with large datasets and enterprise systems
