Junior Transport Engineer
The team is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of transport network infrastructure, supporting the delivery of reliable and high-performance communication services. Leveraging expertise in SDH, DWDM, and IP transport technologies, team members contribute to network planning, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting activities. Through close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams, the group plays a key role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and efficiency of modern telecommunications networks.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Knowledge of transport networks (SDH/DWDM/IP transport).
Experience with network equipment configuration or lab work.
Basic understanding of network protocols and topologies.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (OSI model, routing, switching).
Familiarity with IP/MPLS concepts.
Proficiency in English and Ukrainian both written and verbal.
Nice to have:
Familiarity with network management systems.
Basic knowledge of routing and switching protocols.
Relevant certifications (e.g., vendor transport/networking courses).
Knowledge of optical transport technologies (e.g., DWDM, OTN).
Experience with network simulation or modeling tools.
Basic scripting skills for network automation (e.g., Python, Ansible).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
Support the design and configuration of transport network elements.
Assist with installation, testing, and troubleshooting of transport network equipment.
Monitor transport network performance and support fault resolution.
Document network configurations, topology, and changes.
Collaborate with radio and core network engineers on end-to-end connectivity.
Support the planning, configuration, and testing of IP/MPLS, Ethernet, and optical transport networks.
Participate in the integration and verification of transport network elements.
Assist in monitoring network performance and identifying areas for optimization.
Contribute to troubleshooting and resolving issues within the transport layer.
Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
