The HR Operations Project Manager oversees the successful delivery of HR projects and initiatives across regions. This role acts as a strategic partner to global HR Operations teams and ensures effective communication among stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget.

Operating in a fast‑paced and complex HR environment, the project manager works closely with Regional HR Leads, Country HR Heads, and cross‑functional partners, providing structured project support and independent project management to enable timely, high‑quality execution of multiple concurrent projects.

Demonstrated ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders, facilitate executive decision-making, and build alignment across complex global organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, governance, and successful delivery of HR Operations and transformation projects.
  • Establish and maintain project governance structures, including steering committees, decision forums, risk reviews, and executive reporting.
  • Provide clear recommendations to sponsors and senior leaders regarding risks, dependencies, and delivery decisions.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and accountability across HR, IT, Payroll, Compliance, Finance, and Service Delivery teams and other partners by monitoring milestones and dependencies, preparing project materials, and escalating risks or delays to project leads as required.
  • Serving as a central coordination point between HR Operations leadership, regional HR teams, and project stakeholders—managing communication, aligning expectations, and coordinating internal resources and external vendors.
  • Lead organizational readiness and transition planning activities to ensure sustainable project adoption.
  • Collect, analyze, and organize data to driveproject decision-making and reporting.
  • Help ensure governance, compliance, and quality standards are met.

Key Skills & competencies

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, project lifecycle management, stakeholder management, risk management, and change control processes.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining project governance, RAID logs, milestone tracking, executive reporting, and steering committee materials.
  • Ability to adapt project methodologies to HR transformation and organizational change initiatives.
  • Project Organization & Time Management: Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication is crucial for liaising with senior stakeholders, team members, and management.
  • Problem‑Solving & Attention to Detail: Proactive approach to identifying issues, resolving bottlenecks, and ensuring accuracy.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with project management tools and collaboration platforms.
  • Collaboration: Positive attitude and ability to work effectively across diverse teams and regions.

Technical / Professional Skills

  • 5+ years project management experience with ownership of end-to-end project delivery with demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional and international projects.
  • Understanding of core HR processes and HR systems (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow) is an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Fluent English required; additional languages beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Recognized project management certification such as Agile Practitoiner, Scrum Master, PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner.
