As a Factory Management Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation and sustaining of production lines by enabling processes and capabilities to refurbish our hardware devices line of products. You will be located Full time in a Factory environment working on a worldwide scope which gives you flexible work hours.

This position is based at Microsoft’s manufacturing facility in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, México. The successful candidate will be expected to perform their duties on-site as required by the role.

Responsibilities
  • You will address strategy and evaluate risk levels through driving suppliers to ensure yield and continuous improvements into mass production and validate supplier manufacturing performance to ensure product quality.  
  • You’ll resolve manufacturing or repair issues, make recommendations for necessary changes, and lead the development of qualification processes and criteria. 
  • You'll architect production lines, develop future technologies and products, and consider how to leverage sub automation in the architecture. You will meet design specifications, drive efforts to ensure that verifications have been met, and manage risk and change to schedules, while develop and maintain documentation on process and procedures and document tasks your team is responsible for. 
  • Works with factory, new product introduction (NPI) and dev engineering stakeholders to discuss different dev/test phase scenarios and how they can integrate new tools and automation options based on their understanding of test stages and tool/automation best practices. Helps connect issues from customers/Test Data Centers and correlate that with what is happening at the factory level. Networks with design, validation, and hardware/software teams based on their understanding. 
  • Contributes to security policy and standards; maintains accurate and comprehensive security policy and standards; designs mitigation strategies to addresses identified gaps in policy. Educates others (e.g., business partners, peers, industry) on security policy. Recognizes patterns and trends and recommends solutions for improvement.  
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Manufacturing, Material, Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal, or Industrial Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment /repair
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Material, Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal, or Industrial Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment / repair
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Global collaboration is integral to our work at Microsoft, and proficiency in English is essential for effective communication in this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
    • OR 6+ years of experience in enterprise computer, consumer electronics design, or hyperscale manufacturing environment. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Reverse logistics environment.
