EPM Architect

We are looking for an experienced Oracle EPM Solution Architect to lead the architecture and design of complex, enterprise-scale EPM solutions. The ideal candidate will have architect-level expertise in Oracle Enterprise Planning/EPBCS or FCCS, along with a strong understanding of the broader Oracle EPM Cloud ecosystem.
- You will work closely with Finance and IT stakeholders to understand business needs, define end-to-end solution architecture, and guide customers toward scalable, high-performing, and maintainable solutions. This role requires a strong combination of functional Finance knowledge and technical EPM expertise, including application design, integrations, automation, performance, and workload management.
- As a trusted advisor and design authority, you will challenge requirements when appropriate, explain architectural trade-offs, promote Oracle recommended practices, and provide technical leadership to implementation teams throughout the solution lifecycle.

About You:
- Experienced Oracle EPM Solution Architect with a proven track record of designing and delivering complex, enterprise-scale EPM solutions.
- Architect-level expertise in at least one of Oracle Enterprise Planning/EPBCS or FCCS, with a strong understanding of the broader Oracle EPM Cloud landscape.
- Strong functional and technical knowledge, with the ability to translate Finance requirements into scalable, high-performing, and maintainable solutions.
- Good understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, Workforce and Capex Planning, Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and financial consolidation and close processes.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end EPM ecosystem, including ERP/HCM source systems, data and metadata flows, integrations, reporting, security, automation, and downstream systems.
- Able to serve as a trusted advisor and design authority—challenge requirements when appropriate, explain design trade-offs, and guide customers toward Oracle recommended practices rather than simply implementing every request.
- Understand EPM workload and performance management, including application and dimensional design, calculations, data loads, integrations, job scheduling, concurrency, and reporting workloads.
- Able to lead architecture workshops, establish solution standards, review complex designs, and provide technical direction to implementation teams.
- Stay current with Oracle EPM Cloud capabilities, quarterly updates, and recommended architecture and implementation practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- BE, BTech, MCA, MBA in Finance, or equivalent relevant education and experience.
- 10+ years of EPM experience, with significant experience implementing Oracle EPM Cloud solutions.
- Demonstrated experience as an EPM Solution Architect, Application Architect, or equivalent design authority on complex implementations.
- Architect-level expertise in Oracle Enterprise Planning/EPBCS or FCCS, with working knowledge of other EPM capabilities such as ARCS, EDMCS, EPCM/PCMCS, and Narrative Reporting.
- Experience with at least three end-to-end EPM implementations, including architecture/design, build, integration, testing, deployment, and production transition.
- Strong functional knowledge of Finance processes, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and/or financial consolidation and close.
- Strong understanding of EPM application architecture, including dimensions, hierarchies, cubes, calculations, Groovy, security, reporting, and performance considerations.
- Strong knowledge of EPM integration and automation, including Data Integration, Integration Agent, Pipelines, REST APIs, EPM Automate, Groovy, and integration with Oracle Fusion and other enterprise systems.
- Hands-on understanding of scripting technologies such as Python, PowerShell, Shell, or Batch.
- Ability to evaluate solution options and clearly communicate architecture decisions, trade-offs, risks, performance implications, and maintainability.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to lead technical teams and work effectively with Finance, IT, enterprise architecture, integration, and customer leadership teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience architecting multi-application Oracle EPM Cloud landscapes and integrations with Oracle Fusion ERP/HCM and other enterprise platforms.
- Knowledge of EDMCS, OAC, Essbase 19c/21c, Hybrid BSO/ASO, and multidimensional database concepts.
- Experience with large-scale EPM implementations involving complex data volumes, organizational structures, currencies, and business processes.
- Experience conducting architecture assessments, performance reviews, health checks, and solution modernization.
- Experience leading architecture workshops, design reviews, Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and mentoring EPM consultants and developers.
- Understanding of EPM Cloud operations, migrations, quarterly updates, production support, SRs, RFCs, and My Oracle Support.
- Relevant Oracle EPM Cloud certifications are preferred.
- Excellent communication and consulting skills, with the ability to influence customer decisions and confidently recommend the right solution.
