The Cloud & Infrastructure Operations Lead will be responsible for the stable, secure, resilient and cost-effective management of the organization's cloud and infrastructure services. The role combines operational ownership with architecture review, design governance, service management, vendor oversight, cyber resilience and compliance support.

The position is expected to act as a technology lead for cloud and infrastructure services, ensuring that platforms are reliable for day-to-day business operations while also being scalable, secure and aligned with enterprise technology standards.

How you'll make an impact 

• Own cloud and infrastructure operations across hybrid environments, including cloud platforms, servers, storage, backup, network-adjacent infrastructure services.

• Ensure effective delivery and consumption of globally managed cloud and collaboration services through coordination with respective service owners and support organizations.

• Provide infrastructure architecture input and design review for new solutions, modernization initiatives and technology projects.

• Drive service management discipline across incident, problem, change, availability, capacity and service continuity processes.

• Coordinate with cybersecurity, application, business and enterprise architecture stakeholders to ensure infrastructure platforms meet security, compliance and business continuity expectations.

• Manage infrastructure vendors, managed service partners and technology partners to ensure service quality, accountability and cost effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Infrastructure Operations

• Lead day-to-day operations of enterprise cloud, server, storage, backup and infrastructure services, while coordinating with global service owners for shared enterprise platforms where applicable.

• Ensure high availability, reliability, performance and operational readiness of infrastructure platforms.

• Manage Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure services as applicable to the landscape.

• Drive lifecycle management including monitoring, capacity planning, patching, upgrades, backup governance and technology refresh planning.

• Establish proactive health checks, operational dashboards and improvement plans for critical infrastructure services.

Cloud Architecture, Design & Standards

• Define and maintain cloud and infrastructure architecture standards, patterns, guardrails and reference designs in alignment with enterprise architecture and security expectations.

• Review infrastructure designs for new projects to ensure scalability, resilience, security, operability and cost efficiency.

• Provide technical guidance to project teams, service partners and operations teams during solution design, implementation and transition to operations.

• Evaluate technology options and recommend pragmatic improvements for modernization, automation, resilience and cloud cost optimization.

• Ensure cloud resources are designed and operated with appropriate controls for performance, availability, backup, monitoring and spend visibility.

Service Management & Operational Excellence

• Own service delivery performance for cloud and infrastructure services, including SLA, KPI and service review governance.

• Act as escalation point for major incidents, recurring problems and critical operational risks.

• Drive incident, problem, change, availability, capacity and service continuity management processes for infrastructure services.

• Lead regular operational reviews with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

• Drive continuous service improvement, automation opportunities and reduction of recurring operational issues.

Cyber Resilience & Infrastructure Security

• Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to implement infrastructure security controls and remediate identified risks.

• Drive patch compliance, vulnerability remediation, secure configuration and infrastructure hardening initiatives.

• Support security assessments, infrastructure risk reviews and remediation tracking.

• Ensure infrastructure operations are aligned with applicable corporate cybersecurity standards and regulatory expectations.

• Maintain operational readiness for security events impacting infrastructure services.

Compliance, Audit & Governance Support

• Own infrastructure-related control execution and support audit, compliance and regulatory requirements including ITGC, ICFR and cybersecurity controls.

• Coordinate evidence collection, control operation documentation and remediation tracking for infrastructure-related controls.

• Maintain infrastructure policies, standard operating procedures, technical documentation and operational records.

• Collaborate with cybersecurity, identity, enterprise application and business teams to ensure infrastructure services operate in line with security, compliance and operational requirements.

• Provide risk visibility and status reporting to IT leadership for infrastructure-related control gaps and remediation actions.

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

• Own infrastructure disaster recovery readiness and coordinate periodic DR planning and testing for infrastructure services.

• Ensure backup, recovery and resilience plans are defined, documented, tested and improved for critical infrastructure platforms.

• Track DR gaps, recovery risks and improvement actions to closure.

• Collaborate with application and business stakeholders to align infrastructure recovery capabilities with business continuity expectations.

Vendor & Service Provider Management

• Manage cloud, infrastructure, managed services and technology vendors for operational delivery and performance.

• Monitor vendor performance against defined SLAs, support obligations and service quality expectations.

• Lead escalations with vendors and service providers for critical incidents and chronic service issues.

• Support budgeting, cost tracking, renewals, purchase planning and commercial optimization for infrastructure services.

• Drive accountability through structured service reviews, action tracking and improvement plans.

Strategic Projects & Transition to Operations

• Lead or support infrastructure workstreams for enterprise technology projects, modernization initiatives, migrations and platform transitions.

• Ensure solutions move into steady-state operations with clear ownership, documentation, monitoring, support model and operational acceptance.

• Partner with relevant IT owners for dependencies across identity, end-user computing, networks, applications and site enablement to ensure smooth transition to operations.

• Represent cloud and infrastructure operations in cross-functional planning and governance discussions.

People Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and mentor internal team members, service partners and extended support teams involved in infrastructure services.

• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, cyber teams, application teams, enterprise architecture and vendors.

• Communicate operational risks, service performance and improvement plans in a clear and business-oriented manner.

• Promote a culture of service ownership, operational discipline, accountability, documentation and continuous improvement.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.

• ITIL Foundation certification preferred.

• Relevant Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, infrastructure, cybersecurity or service management certifications preferred.

• Cloud architecture or solution design certification, such as Azure Solutions Architect, will be an added advantage.

• 12-15 years of overall IT experience, with significant exposure to enterprise infrastructure and cloud operations.

• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing cloud, infrastructure, service delivery or technology operations.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, hybrid cloud, servers, storage, backup, monitoring and infrastructure operations.

• Experience in service management, major incident handling, change governance, SLA management and operational reporting.

• Experience working with managed service providers, infrastructure vendors and cloud service partners.

• Exposure to audit, IT general controls, cybersecurity governance, vulnerability management and disaster recovery practices.

• Experience in manufacturing, energy, engineering, listed-company or large enterprise environments will be preferred.

• Experience supporting technology transformation, infrastructure migration or modernization programs will be an advantage.
