Business Strategy Lead
About the role and team
Build the strategy for the next phase of the ridesharing business in LatAm, creating processes to define the strategy, breakdown priorities and enable execution through an actionable strategy, and strong prioritization across verticals. Be the main point of contact and gate keeper of LatAm's regional priorities and work hand in hand with COPs in order to ensure we are set up for success to achieve our short and long term performance targets.
What you'll do
- Strategy: Recommend and work closely to the LatAm RGM and Head of LatAm S&P to build LatAm' strategy. You’ll be responsible for building our business strategy to achieve high levels of growth in a highly competitive environment while continuing to improve margins.
- Thought Leadership: Working with all vertical leaders across LatAm and subregions to set strategic priorities, align on prioritization, track performance and share best practices.
- Own LatAm's narrative: You will be responsible for communicating the strategy, challenges, business performance and main top of mind to get buy-in and support from global leadership.
- Performance Management Improvement: Identify operational and structural weaknesses and help improve our operational efficiency and data tracking.
- Stakeholder Management: Foster strong working relationships with COPs leaders and sub regional teams to ensure efficient and productive working relationships.
- Lead by Example: Be truth-seeking and comfortable with data, set high standards for the team to think boldly and creatively, and then funnel that energy into concrete processes and execution plans. Move fast and be biased toward action.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 10+ years of investment banking/consulting/strategy or related experience; also high-growth operations or startup experience is very much preferred.
- English proficiency.
- Outstanding communication and organization skills. Ability to effectively communicate to senior leadership both written (documents, emails, decks) and verbally, proving the ability to synthesize a lot of information quickly, highlight the key take-aways, and disseminate meaningful insights.
- Highly analytical with strong problem solving skills to dissect complex problems into simple solutions.
- Balance attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well.
- Self-starter - the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data we require will make you much more effective in this role.
- A "driver" personality - biased toward action, great collaborator and master disambiguator/simplifier - constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery.
- Exceptional Excel / Google suite / data skills. SQL Proficiency highly preferred
- Grittiness. You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and address something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away.
- MBA preferred.
