Role Overview

Amazon Supply Chain forms the backbone of the fastest growing ecommerce business in the world. The sheer growth of the business and the company's mission "to be Earth’s most customer-centric company” makes the customer fulfillment business bigger and more complex with each passing year.
The SC Engineering, EThOS team builds tech solutions for cross-functional Supply Chain & Under-The-Roof business problems. We work closely with Global Tech teams such as Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) and AFT (Amazon Fulfillment Technologies) teams in North America, who own Buying, Placement, UTR systems that control the flow of inventory across our network and processing within our Fulfillment Centers. Our internal stakeholders are EU ACES, Supply Chain Execution, across all three miles, GOX, Fulfillment Optimization, Inbound & Inventory Placement.

Responsibilities

Within our team, you will get the opportunity to work closely with Software Engineers, Applied Scientists and Data Engineers to build models, data solutions and automation of planning processes.
You will be involved in the development of critical tech initiatives that will allow us to offer best possible speed and delivery promise to our customers while incurring the lowest cost to serve,

About the team
Supply Chain Engineering is team within EThOS (ACES) org that delivers tech solutions to complex cross-functional business problems.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
  • Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
  • Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience in the data/BI space

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
  • Knowledge of how to improve code quality and optimizes BI processes (e.g. speed, cost, reliability)
