Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.

This role is responsible for independently executing outbound prospecting and qualification activities, engaging and navigating customer organisations to reach key decision makers, and driving opportunity qualification through structured discovery and multi-channel outreach. It manages the progression of opportunities to sales-ready status, maintains accurate CRM data and pipeline visibility, and applies sound judgment in prioritisation and customer engagement. The role collaborates closely with sales teams and partners, adapts approaches based on customer context, and operates with a high degree of ownership while recognising when escalation is required, supported by strong communication, organisation, and performance-driven behaviours.

Essential Functions:

  • Independently execute outbound prospecting and qualification activities across assigned segments
  • Identify, engage, and navigate customer organisations to reach key decision makers and influencers
  • Plan and adapt outreach strategies aligned to campaigns and target segments
  • Conduct structured discovery and needs assessment to qualify opportunities
  • Build and sustain prospect engagement through coordinated multi-channel outreach (phone, digital, social, email)
  • Manage progression of opportunities through qualification stages, ensuring readiness for sales handover
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and ensure strong pipeline visibility and follow-up discipline
  • Apply sound judgment in prioritising accounts, opportunities, and outreach efforts
  • Collaborate proactively with sales teams and partners on pursuit strategy, ownership, and next steps
  • Handle semi-routine assignments, adjusting approach based on customer context
  • Recognise when escalation or support is required and act accordingly

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong prospecting and relationship-building capability
  • Confident communication across organisational levels
  • Ability to adapt to messaging and engagement strategies
  • Solid CRM proficiency and pipeline management
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Self-driven and performance-oriented

Education and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in sales development, prospecting, or qualification roles
  • Proven ability to manage structured outbound activities
  • Experience working with CRM systems
  • Technical or engineering background beneficial but not required

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment. Often requested to work long hours at quarter-end, at times of key project roll out periods or in the Management support or back-up roles
