Associate Planning and Scheduling Expert (m/w/d) - Gigafactory Berlin - Brandenburg

We are looking for an Associate Planning and Scheduling Expert to join our Project Controls team at Tesla. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the construction planning and scheduling functions of the Gigafactory Berlin Brandenburg. This role involves assisting in the development, maintenance, and analysis of project schedules to ensure timely completion, resource optimization, and risk mitigation in small size industrial and infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with project teams to align timelines with project goals, using tools like Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, while contributing to efficient project delivery in a dynamic industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent).
- Track schedule progress updates, baseline maintenance, and forecast revisions based on site and team inputs.
- Conduct critical path method (CPM) analysis, what-if scenarios, and basic schedule risk assessments.
- Lead regular schedule reviews, baseline updates, and change impact analyses.
- Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights on project status, performance metrics, and forecasting.
- Integrate subcontractor and discipline schedules into the master project schedule.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather activity status, constraints, and look-ahead planning inputs.
- Identify schedule-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collect schedule documentation for delay analysis and change management.
- Manage resource loading and basic manpower/equipment planning within the schedule.
- Prepare short-term look-ahead schedules and coordinate with site teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Experience in construction planning and scheduling, preferably in industrial and/or high-tech industries.
- Solid understanding of construction means and methods across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.
- Proficiency in planning and CPM scheduling processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with software systems including Aconex, Oracle Unifier, Bluebeam, CAD, and other construction packages.
- Advanced Oracle Primavera P6 experience.
- Knowledge of earned value concepts and construction resources such as R.S. Means to validate productivity and durations.
- Ability to direct and manage both internal and external scheduling resources.
