Meta is seeking a collaborative attorney to join its Monetization Partnerships Legal team. In this role, you will support a wide range of commercial and technology transactions across Meta's monetization products and services, including Meta Business Agent, Business Messaging, and Commerce. You will serve as a key legal partner to the Monetization Partnerships and Enterprise Sales teams, advising on new business development initiatives, platform integrations, enterprise partnerships, and strategic commercial deals. You will also counsel business teams on legal risk, business strategy, and other issues arising in commercial transactions and day-to-day operations. This is an opportunity to join a growing legal team and work on emerging legal and regulatory issues in a collaborative environment. The specific areas of focus and responsibilities will evolve alongside company priorities, emerging legal issues, and the changing regulatory and competitive landscape.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic legal advice and day-to-day support to internal stakeholders, including developing comprehensive, long-term approaches to key partner relationships and to the commercial aspects of our products and programs Draft, negotiate, manage, and close complex product and commercial transactions, including bespoke technology integrations Lead and support 0→1 strategic partnerships, enabling new products and features from inception through launch Partner with cross-functional teams — including Product, Engineering, Privacy, Policy, and other Legal teams — to identify and resolve novel legal and regulatory issues Administer and resolve legal issues and contract interpretation matters arising in existing commercial relationships Build scalable processes, templates, and playbooks for evaluating and executing sophisticated partnership opportunities

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution Active bar license in good standing in at least one U.S. state or equivalent foreign bar license; where the jurisdiction of licensure differs from the location in which the role is based, the ability to promptly obtain permission to practice law for Meta in that location 8+ years of relevant technology transactions experience at or for technology companies (in-house and/or at a global law firm) Experience drafting, negotiating, and managing technology deals (e.g., technology licensing, product development, platform integrations) in support of business development and sales teams Experience managing numerous projects and deals simultaneously under tight deadlines Experience partnering cross-functionally with product, engineering, privacy, and policy teams to evaluate legal risk, align on business priorities, and drive decisions to resolution Experience communicating complex legal and business concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including through written memos, contract summaries, and executive briefings Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Experience setting priorities and building execution plans in ambiguous or undefined problem spaces, balancing competing deadlines and stakeholder needs Track record of leading complex, first-of-a-kind transactions involving novel deal structures Experience with AI agents, messaging, or commerce products, and familiarity with the associated regulatory landscape Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies Experience counseling on AI-specific legal and regulatory frameworks, including automated decision-making, AI liability, or emerging AI governance requirements Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

Compensation: $202,000/year to $274,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
