Application Specialist - Digital Threads

Company Overview

Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.

Position Overview

Engineering is undergoing a profound transformation driven by Artificial Intelligence and increasingly complex product development processes. As organizations seek to innovate faster and make better decisions, the ability to connect, handle, and leverage engineering data across the product lifecycle has become a critical success factor.

As an Application Specialist, Digital Threads, you will join the global Digital Thread Specialists team and help define, validate, and promote next-generation Digital Thread workflows that enable our customers to connect engineering processes, technologies, and data across the product lifecycle. Working at the intersection of engineering data, Digital Threads, and AI, you will play a key role in shaping how engineering organizations accelerate innovation, improve collaboration, and create scalable business value.

Our team supports pivotal initiatives across Siemens Digital Industries Software, helping customers tackle multifaceted engineering challenges through Digital Threads. These initiatives evolve continuously and span multiple industries and technologies. Current examples include Electronics & Semiconductors, Electrification, Turbomachinery, Virtual Certification, Airframe Engineering, and Body Engineering.

While the application domains may vary, the underlying challenge remains consistent: enabling flawless, traceable, and scalable engineering processes through connected, managed, and continuously available data. Every successful Digital Thread depends on trusted engineering data and effective data continuity. As AI increasingly transforms the way products are designed, analysed, and validated, the importance of connected engineering information becomes even greater.

In this role, you will help shape how engineering data and AI strengthen Digital Threads and create measurable value for our customers.

Working closely with Product Management, Industry Teams, Sales, Marketing, and Services organizations, you will contribute to the vision, strategy, and adoption of Digital Thread solutions across Siemens.
