As a Frontier Industry Advisor on the Americas Frontier Banking Industry team, you will help Microsoft’s most strategic banking customers define and execute AI-led transformation agendas. This role is responsible for originating industry-led business opportunities and executive conversations that connect business outcomes to Microsoft cloud, data, AI, security, and partner capabilities. You will be the banking industry subject matter expert engaging with senior business decision makers to identify, generate, and nurture transformational opportunities. You will go deep with select customers to help them move beyond isolated pilots toward governed, scalable AI adoption that delivers enterprise outcomes such as profitable growth, improved operating leverage, faster and more trusted credit decisioning, stronger fraud and financial crime controls, better customer and banker experiences, operational resilience, and regulatory confidence. You will also develop Microsoft’s frontier banking practice through thought leadership, targeted customer engagements, and strategic planning with Microsoft’s account teams and industry leadership. 


Responsibilities

  • Banking industry SME driving digital, cloud, and Frontier AI transformation aligned to customer business priorities and Microsoft strategy.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to senior executives, building relationships and influencing decision-makers across strategic banking accounts.
  • Leads account planning, stakeholder mapping, and partner collaboration to accelerate adoption of Microsoft technologies and transformation initiatives.
  • Develops multi-horizon industry roadmaps that align banking business outcomes with technology investments and long-term transformation goals.
  • Identifies high-value opportunities across retail, commercial, corporate banking, payments, lending, risk, compliance, fraud, operations, customer experience, and core banking modernization.
  • Leads outcome-based conversations that connect AI and cloud solutions to measurable business impact, including growth, productivity, risk reduction, compliance, and customer experience improvements.
  • Builds business cases and transformation strategies that move customers from AI pilots to enterprise-scale adoption with strong governance, security, and responsible AI practices.
  • Identifies, advances, and scales strategic AI scenarios such as banker copilots, loan automation, fraud detection, customer service automation, regulatory reporting, payments modernization, and enterprise knowledge assistants.
  • Collaborates extensively with Microsoft account teams, technical specialists, consulting teams, partners, and customers to develop pipeline and execute transformation opportunities.
  • Maintains deep banking industry expertise and thought leadership by monitoring market trends, regulations, competitive dynamics, and emerging technology innovations while sharing insights across the Microsoft ecosystem.


Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Health Sciences, Supply Chain, Education, Business or related field AND 8+ years customer-facing experience in operations, enterprise-level improvement program management, product management, transportation, hospitality, automotive, consumer goods, financial services, retail, management consulting, consultative selling, public sector, technology or industry-relevant equivalent management or technical work experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Health Sciences, Supply Chain, Education, Business or related field AND 10+ years customer-facing experience in operations, enterprise-level improvement program management, product management, transportation, hospitality, automotive, consumer goods, financial services, retail, management consulting, consultative selling, public sector, technology or industry-relevant equivalent management or technical work experience OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Health Sciences, Supply Chain, Education, Business or related field AND 10+ years customer-facing experience in operations, enterprise-level improvement program management, product management, transportation, hospitality, automotive, consumer goods, financial services, retail, management consulting, consultative selling, public sector, technology or industry-relevant equivalent management or technical work experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Health Sciences, Supply Chain, Education, Business or related field AND 15+ years customer-facing experience in operations, enterprise-level improvement program management, product management, transportation, hospitality, automotive, consumer goods, financial services, retail, management consulting, consultative selling, public sector, technology or industry-relevant equivalent management or technical work experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years proven people management and/or leadership experience.
  • Experience working with Banking business leaders on transformation opportunities across areas such as retail banking, commercial banking, corporate banking, payments, lending, deposits, treasury services, cash management, customer onboarding, branch and contact center modernization, digital banking, credit decisioning, fraud and financial crime, risk management, compliance, regulatory reporting, data and analytics, core banking modernization, and banking operations.
  • Ability to engage senior business decision makers, shape business value propositions, and translate strategic banking priorities into technology-enabled transformation opportunities.
  • Working knowledge of cloud, data, AI, Frontier AI, automation, security, and modern application capabilities as applied to regulated banking and financial services environments.
  • Proven ability to work across account teams, solution teams, engineering, partners, consulting organizations, and senior customer stakeholders to shape complex transformation programs and drive execution


Industry Advisory IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $181,000 - CAD $303,000 per year.
