Job Description:

This is a Project Management position that applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert for delivering High Performance Computing solutions. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to positively influence solution deployments and customer satisfaction. Frequently contributing to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.

This position will support government accounts.  Therefore, due to federal export-control regulations, the selected candidate must hold U.S. citizenship, U.S. lawful permanent resident/Green Card status or otherwise have a category of refugee/asylee status enabling them to perform the role without requiring a license under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The selected candidate must hold or be able to hold the security clearance: TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly required

This is a teleworker role with 1 or 2 days weekly travel to the customer site.

This position contributes to the success of delivering and operating in the most complex disciplines, providing highly innovative solutions. May participate in large cross-division, multi-function teams or working within small tightly focused team environments.  Provides mentoring and guidance to lower level employees. Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops strategy and sets functional direction.  Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function.

US Citizenship required

Clearance: Preferred: TS/SCI/Full Scope Poly is preferred. Will consider a candidate without the clearance but the candidate must be able to get cleared including the Full Scope Polygraph and is confident that they can pass it.

Travel: Must be able and willing to travel up to 30% if needed at the customer site. Travel could extend into several weeks at a time depending on the client needs.

Remote work: Employee will be required to travel and work at the customer site when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Manages customer project delivery.
• Manages large complex HPC system delivery into multiple regions or global.
• Manages identifying and mitigating risks
• Meets or exceeds program/project approved budgets.
• Provides reliable financial forecasts to HPE management.
• Identifies issues and develops mitigation plans to positively influence project outcomes.
• Interacts and develops client relationships in partnership with the greater HPE team.
• Manages complex multi-function and/ or global delivery relationships with senior and executive ("C" level) client management.
• Communicates the direct value our capabilities will provide to our business partners and customers.
• Manages project schedule and deliverable expectations
• Manages internal as well as external resources with a team size greater than 40 people.
• Mentors and encourages skill development of project team members through others.
• Mentors others, providing a role model and support for individual development.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of key operational policies, processes and methodologies applicable to project management.
• Recognized as a leader in the company's PM Professions community.
• PMP Certified is preferred

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelors Degree with 10+ years of professional experience, with at least 3+ in HPC architecture, systems engineering, or large-scale infrastructure design.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• 10 years experience in project management or in like roles/businesses.
