Description

The Enterprise Network Engineering team is responsible for designing, building, and operating one of the largest enterprise networks in the world. Networking is at the core of all Meta products and experiences, and we are looking for Wireless Network Engineers who are interested in solving complex technical challenges in Enterprise Wireless across Office, Datacenter, Retail and Authentication Services domains. The scale of the network and its continuous expansion presents an opportunity to work on and solve interesting engineering challenges. We constantly push the boundaries of what is possible. We create new and innovative ways of designing and operating our networks and do it at scale with efficiency.

Responsibilities

Contribute to requirement analysis, engineering design, solution development and ongoing management of a multi-vendor enterprise WiFi network infrastructure Interface with InfoSec teams to design and continuously deliver security-related enhancements Partner with network operations and deployment teams to analyze data and performance metrics to improve reliability and resiliency of the wireless network Develop automated methods to mitigate and remediate network events and minimize operational complexity Troubleshooting WiFi connectivity and performance issues using WLAN controllers, over-the-air packet capture analysis and spectrum analyzer Optimize the network in every way possible

Qualifications

5+ years of experience with designing, building, and operating WiFi networks Experience with the following technologies/protocols: 802.1X, 802.11, unlicensed Radio Frequency planning (2.4 & 5GHz), Experience with Layer 2 Switching protocols and associated enhancements such as STP, LACP, 802.1[d|s|w], or 802.1x etc Experience with stateful firewalls, non-stateful filtering and packet inspection Experience in programming to automate/build Hands-on experience designing, configuring, optimizing WiFi networks with knowledge of RF design and latest 802.11 standards Demonstrated knowledge of controller-based & controllerless enterprise wireless architectures, monitoring systems, and RADIUS infrastructure Experience working with Enterprise network OEMs hardware (Cisco/Meraki, HPE/Aruba, Mist,Arista) Demonstrated knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4 and IPv6 and related network services (e.g. DHCP and DNS) Detailed understanding of tooling and automation to configure, manage and operate the network CWNE, CCIE Wireless, ACMX, or equivalent level preferred

Compensation: $175,000/year to $243,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
