Network Engineer, Enterprise Infrastructure
Description
The Enterprise Network Engineering team is responsible for designing, building, and operating one of the largest enterprise networks in the world. Networking is at the core of all Meta products and experiences, and we are looking for Network Engineers who are interested in solving complex technical challenges in the Enterprise Datacenter, Security and AI Network domains. The scale of the network and its continuous expansion presents an opportunity to work on and solve interesting engineering challenges. We constantly push the boundaries of what is possible. We create new ways of designing and operating our networks and do it at scale with efficiency.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the design, implementation and ongoing management of a multi-vendor, multi-protocol enterprise network Interface with NetSec teams to design and continuously deliver security-related enhancements Design, implement, and manage high-performance datacenter networks supporting AI workloads, including Infiniband and RoCE technologies Analyze data and define network capacity models and performance metrics to improve Reliability and Resiliency of the network and its services Develop automated methods to mitigate and remediate network events and minimize operational complexity Optimize the network in every way possible
Qualifications
4+ years of experience with Layer 2 Switching protocols and associated enhancements such as STP, LACP, 802.1[d|s|w], or 802.1x etc Experience with Layer 3 Routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and VRFs Experience with stateful firewalls, non-stateful filtering and packet inspection Experience in programming to automate/build Demonstrated knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4 and IPv6 Experience with Routing Protocols (VXLAN/EVPN, OSPF, BGP or similar) Experience with Datacenter networking for AI workloads (Infiniband, RoCE) Experience with security hardening, credential management, and compliance frameworks Experience of access control, and platform integrity in large-scale environments Experience with automation and tooling for network configuration and monitoring Experience working with Enterprise network OEMs hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Infiniband, Nvidia)
Compensation: $142,000/year to $206,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
