Senior Technical Program Manager, Private Compute

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager for Private Compute, you will drive the delivery of our next-generation trusted computing stack. You will partner with Engineering and Product drive the services to full production readiness and public launch.
The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end technical program management of complex, multi-functional programs, from planning and delivery to tracking and reporting. Exercise independent judgment and develop recommendations that translate into a course of action.
- Drive program-level meetings with stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-Product Area partners to manage outcomes, communicate progress, and secure decisions.
- Identify and mitigate technical and production risks to ensure successful delivery and maintain the reliability of the systems.
- Perform technical due diligence to understand engineering scope, define milestones, and anticipate resource needs for ambitious. Drive project delivery and technology reviews, applying technical judgment to challenge proposals and build consensus among teams.
- Collaborate across Private Compute teams to align on dependencies and coordinate execution plans. Identify and implement opportunities for automation, velocity, and simplification.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
5 years of experience with technical program management, leading cross-functional software or infrastructure programs.
- Experience delivering cloud, infrastructure, or distributed systems to production (e.g., platform, backend, SRE, or systems engineering environments).
- Experience working directly with infrastructure or reliability teams (e.g., SRE, platform, DevOps, data center, or backend engineering).
- Experience managing cross-functional, multi-team programs with multiple dependencies.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with containers and orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
Experience in privacy, security, or trusted/confidential computing domains.
- Experience leading production readiness, release engineering, or reliability initiatives.
- Experience leading cross-functional, international project teams across different time zones.
- Experience in SRE, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
