Senior Software Engineer, Mobile Threat Analysis Platform

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of large-scale Google infrastructure, design, develop, and maintain scalable Google-wide infrastructure to reliably scan 1 million Android applications per day, manage Pebibytes (PiBs) of analysis data, and protect over 3 billion devices.
- Build systems to effectively manage and extract intelligence from various sources and make the intelligence available to various internal systems and stakeholders.
- Integrate and efficiently compose multiple scalable systems performing large-scale dynamic analysis, static analysis, and Machine Learning (ML) systems that generate and efficiently represent analysis knowledge for internal users.
- Collaborate on monitoring solutions and solve testing problems in production.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience designing software architectures, components, modules, interfaces, and data for a system to satisfy specified requirements.
- Experience in end-to-end large-scale distributed system development, productionization, monitoring, and release management.
- Experience in processing large volumes of data.
- Ability to debug, triage, and fix program code or system issues.
