The team provides data encryption in-use, enabling end-to-end encryption when coupled with encryption in-transit and at-rest. The team builds solutions using hardware-based memory encryption technologies to provide confidentiality for sensitive customer workloads in Compute Engine and Compute Engine-based services in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

In this role, you will take on new problems to push technology forward. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy security products and initiatives and solve technical tests in the confidential computing domain.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure quality software deliverables.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, reliability, and maintainability and provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers in the team.
  • Analyze and decompose software systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Work with the cross-functional and cross-geographical team for integration.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience in building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management).
  • Experience in enterprise cloud computing, distributed systems, virtualization, networking, storage, and security.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience in Linux kernel, Linux drivers, or operating system Application Programming Interface (API).
  • Experience in cloud platforms, trusted computing, virtualization, and platform security.
  • Experience in working on system programming or kernel development.
  • Experience in working with virtualization or operating system security.
