Cloud Program Manager, Federal Government
The Google Australia Public Sector, Delivery and Operations team delivers, operates and secures private cloud services. We aim to provide the flexibility, reliability, and scalability of public cloud for customers with exceptionally high security requirements that can only be met in a private cloud environment. We deliver and operate these private cloud deployments for the most critical customers, helping scale, secure and maintain the deployment whilst working closely with Google product teams to continually improve our technology.
As a Program Manager, you will be part of a team that deploys and operates our private cloud services for critical customers in Australia. You will be resilient and navigate through ambiguity to support cross-functional teams. You will manage and maintain program support underpinning the delivery outcomes including actions, planning, scheduling, communications, continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement. - Support the program manager and the outcomes of the technical team through the whole life cycle of private/secure infrastructure from inception and design, to qualification and validation, through deployment, operation and optimization.
- Manage and maintain documentation, including folders, artifacts, scheduling, action tracking (RAIDs), meeting minutes, travel & logistics, reporting requirements and dependencies.
- Report and communicate support, including status updates and stakeholder liaison, maintaining quality assurance across the program team including compliance in ensuring the project adheres to organizational standards and governance frameworks.
- Support multi-year deliverables that will be within a larger program of work and associated dependencies.
- Deliver high-quality work aligned to team goals in a timely and efficient manner. Demonstrate initiative and take responsibility for your work.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience in program or project management in technical infrastructure programs.
- Experience in information management and maintaining document control.
- Experience with developing, coordinating and maintaining program governance artifacts such as RAID logs, schedules and reporting requirements that require forward planning.
- Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting level 1 or 2 Australian Government Security Clearance.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with supporting and coordinating technology rollout programs for critical services.
- Experience with facilitating stakeholder communication between teams, both internal and external as well as problem solving and improving processes.
- Excellent partner management, initiative, follow-through, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Current and active Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA).
