What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Systems Development Engineer, you will design, define and implement complex system requirements for customers and prepare studies and analyses of existing systems.
You will:
Perform the measurement and analysis of subsystem performance for Dell products, with an emphasis on the server subsystem: processor configurations, chipsets, memory subsystems.
Perform targeted studies to obtain optimal performance of a given solution (hardware and software configuration)
Isolate issues (bottlenecks) in the solution and obtain assistance from peers, or internal/external teams to eliminate or mitigate these bottlenecks
Maintain a broad knowledge of performance bottlenecks and potential performance impacts on the various benchmarks being tracked by the performance team
Work with the performance architects to provide raw data to facilitate performance predictions on new products.
Expertise in atleast one of the benchmarks - SPECCPU, SPECPower, VMMark, SPECVirt, MLPerf

Essential Requirements
5 to 8 years of related experience
Advanced understanding of appropriate system architectures
Deep knowledge of hardware and software interactions, and ability to apply this understanding to resolve issues
Ability to lead, motivate and direct a workgroup
Desirable Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree
•Capability to influence others to achieve results
