The individual will establish, develop, and optimize data governance frameworks, policies, processes, standards, and supporting business solutions to strengthen data quality, consistency, accountability, and usability across the organization.

The role requires close partnership with the Chief Data Officer organization, IT, manufacturing and operations functions, and business stakeholders to define practical governance models and implement scalable solutions that support business transformation.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multiple functions, managing ambiguity, influencing senior stakeholders, and communicating complex data governance topics clearly to both technical and business audiences.

  • Lead data governance and digital transformation initiatives from discovery, requirements definition, solution design, implementation, adoption, and closure.
  • Translate business needs into practical data governance processes, controls, tools, and operating models.
  • Bring manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or enterprise process experience to ensure governance solutions are relevant to real business workflows.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including business operations, IT, data office, analytics, and functional process owners.
  • Engage, influence, and present confidently to senior leaders and stakeholders to drive alignment, decisions, and sustained adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, operationalize, and continuously improve data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and processes across Global Operations.
  • Lead end-to-end governance-related programs and projects, including discovery, stakeholder alignment, requirements definition, implementation planning, execution, adoption, and closure.
  • Partner with business functions, IT, Chief Data Officer teams, analytics teams, and process owners to define scalable governance solutions that support operational and digital transformation priorities.
  • Support business units in identifying and managing critical data elements, data ownership, data quality rules, metadata, business glossary, data lineage, and data catalogue requirements.
  • Drive governance implementation across manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or enterprise process environments, ensuring solutions are practical, sustainable, and aligned with business workflows.
  • Provide expert consultation to functional teams on data governance policy, standards, controls, and implementation approaches.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and strengthen data governance processes and controls.
  • Define and publish data governance metrics, data quality KPIs, dashboards, and adoption measures to demonstrate business value and governance maturity.
  • Engage senior stakeholders to align priorities, resolve issues, communicate progress, and secure decisions required for successful program delivery.
  • Prepare clear executive-level updates, recommendations, and presentations for senior leadership reviews.
  • Support change management, communication, and adoption activities to embed governance practices into day-to-day business operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data, Business Analytics, Operations, Supply Chain, or an equivalent discipline.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in data governance, data management, digital transformation, business process transformation, manufacturing operations, supply chain, or related enterprise functions.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing or operationalizing data governance frameworks, processes, standards, or tools within a complex organization.
  • Manufacturing, operations, supply chain, high-tech, or enterprise process experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage projects or programs from discovery through closure, with strong execution discipline and stakeholder ownership.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple functions, including business operations, IT, data office, analytics, and senior leadership teams.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with master data, data quality, metadata management, data catalogue, business glossary, data lineage, or data stewardship practices.
  • Experience with SAP MDG, S/4HANA rollout, data harmonization, data cleansing, or master data domains such as material, vendor, customer, BOM, or supply chain data will be advantageous.
  • Experience with data governance platforms such as Collibra, Informatica, SAP MDG, Microsoft Purview, or equivalent tools will be advantageous.
  • Certification in project management or data governance/data management disciplines, such as PMP, DAMA, DCAM, or equivalent, will be an advantage.
  • Ability to think strategically while driving practical execution, balancing enterprise standards with business needs and operational realities.
