As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle management of critical software tools that ensure industry-leading uptime for datacenters. You will lead the development and execution of product strategies, from conception through launch and ongoing maintenance. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, product management, operations, and supply chain teams to align on strategic roadmaps and ensure seamless product delivery. Key responsibilities include managing product documentation, conducting phase gate reviews, collecting user feedback, and communicating project status to stakeholders and senior management. As Technical Program Manager, you will focus on optimizing processes, tools, and organizational structures to drive efficient, predictable, and scalable delivery performance.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle of software tools for data centers that drive industry leading uptime.
  • Manage product documentation (e.g., business requirements, pilot plan, etc.), phase gate reviews, communication and user feedback collection at various stages in the lifecycle (e.g., user acceptance testing, user surveys, critical user journeys). 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders ensuring accountability for planning, providing visibility into resource needs and intake management of new features or requirements. 
  • Communicate succinctly and clearly with cross-functional team leads and senior management regarding project status, resource requirements, issues and priorities.
  • Lead the collaboration among engineering, product management, operations and supply chain teams to ensure regional and global alignment on strategic product and technology roadmaps. 

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience working with engineering and operations teams as part of the software development process.
  • Experience with data center or networking deployments.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Project management work experience.
  • Experience supporting a global user base and working closely with engineering and Google server operations stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively to negotiate prioritization across organizations.
