As a Chemical Analysis Engineer, you will be part of Technology Development Labs responsible for identifying and developing materials characterization and analytical chemical techniques in support of Intel's next generation process development, high volume manufacturing and foundry service. The candidate must work in concert with fab process module, material supply chain and material quality/ reliability functions to enable incoming material quality control, reactive responses to ongoing excursions, real-time chemical monitoring et al to improve process performance, inline defect, end-of-line yield and quality/reliability.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Developing, validating and implementing advanced analytical chemistry techniques to deliver precise, data-driven insights to Si process TD customers, quality/reliability and manufacturing customers.
- Driving the development of new instrument and methodologies. Authoring SOPs and documentation. Transfer the best-known methodologies to virtual factory sites.
- Interacting with TD and production fab customers directly with analytical chemistry expertise to define sampling plan and analysis methods for data collection in helping problem solving and excursion response; communicating the results to customers in proper working forum.
- Driving Lab equipment maintenance, troubleshoot, calibration through strong ownership. Providing mentorship of lab technicians to drive lab operation excellence from sample preparation/analysis, to instrumentation, data analysis, and result reporting.
- Collaborating with Fab automation, IT and facilities to maintain reliable data reporting system. Apply automation and AL/ML solutions to improve analysis processes toward high quality and velocity.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
Minimum Qualifications:
- The candidate must have a Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field.
1+ years of hands-on experience in analytical techniques:
- Chromatographic -OR- spectroscopic instrumentation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field.
- 3+ years of laboratory experience including graduate research.
- Experience in analytical chemistry labs.
- Experience developing or transferring analytical chemistry methods
- Hands-on experience with instrumentation (ICP-MS, LC-MS/QTOF, GC-MS, GC-FID, IC, GPC, HPLC, Assay/Titration, FTIR, UV-Vis, NMR, DLS, viscometry etc).

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $103,730.00-170,630.00 USDThe range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations.
