The Role

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will own and evolve the financial systems that underpin how HubSpot bills customers and recognizes revenue. Your portfolio will include internally built systems and third-party platforms spanning billing, subscription management, payment processing, and finance & accounting.

In this role, you’ll join a dedicated team focused on mission-critical revenue recognition initiatives. You’ll collaborate closely with Finance, Accounting, and Engineering to implement a new revenue recognition platform that supports increasingly complex pricing and usage-based billing models as HubSpot scales.

This is a highly visible role that blends business process expertise, deep systems knowledge, and strong cross-functional leadership.


What You’ll Do

  • Become a subject matter expert in HubSpot’s revenue recognition processes, working directly with Finance & Accounting to understand current policies and influence how they evolve as the business scales
  • Own the vision and execution for HubSpot’s revenue recognition platform, including managing our third-party vendor and leading engineering efforts for system integrations
  • Partner with engineers to design, build, and maintain scalable integrations across billing, ERP, and downstream financial systems
  • Ensure data quality, system performance, and a strong internal user experience across revenue-related workflows
  • Use data to surface insights, identify problems, and drive improvements aligned with company-level goals
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment where revenue systems sit at the center of major strategic initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience implementing third-party revenue recognition systems (e.g. Aptitude, RevPro, BillingPlatform, Maxio, RightRev) in B2B SaaS environments
  • Strong understanding of usage-based billing, subscription models, and revenue recognition principles (ASC 606)
  • Hands-on experience with financial systems, including billing platforms and ERPs supporting the general ledger
  • Proven ability to work closely with software engineering teams on complex system and API integrations
  • Background in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills; experience with SQL and Looker is a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and evolving business needs
  • Empathy for customers and internal users, with a passion for building reliable, scalable systems

Pay & Benefits

The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

Annual Cash Compensation Range:

$118,500-$189,600 USD
