As a Strategic Pursuits Manager focused on the US Federal Health Sector, you will be an executive leader on the sales team. You will be responsible for shaping the largest, complex, and strategic multi-year programs. This is not a standard sales role; you will operate at the intersection of strategy, sales, and government relations, influencing customer requirements and acquisition strategies long before an Request for Proposal (RFP) is released. You will orchestrate cross-functional teams to position Google as the premier partner for advancing the missions of our nation's science and research agencies.

This role requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000-$169,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Influence US Federal Health Agency requirements and acquisition strategies early to position Google for strategic program success.
  • Cultivate trusted relationships with senior health officials and Systems Integrators to deliver comprehensive, mission-critical solutions.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to develop and execute go-to-market strategies that effectively position Google's offerings within the federal health sector.
  • Drive significant revenue and on-contract growth within existing accounts by collaborating with sales teams to accelerate high-value agreement closures.
  • Lead cross-functional proposal development and provide thought leadership at industry events to showcase Google’s health expertise.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in quota-carrying cloud or software sales, business development, or consultative account management at a B2B software company.
  • Experience managing commercial negotiations and agreements.
  • Experience engaging and building relationships with internal teams and customer stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading large, matrixed teams in the pursuit of complex opportunities.
  • Understanding of the federal civilian and defense health procurement processes, including budget cycles and various contract vehicles.
  • Demonstrated track record of shaping and winning multi-year government programs and agreements.
  • Ability to maintain an influential network of relationships with executive leaders within the Federal Health Sector, specifically HHS, VA, and DHA.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical senior executives.
