Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of software engineers. Oversee the team’s execution, provide technical guidance (e.g., design review, code review) to individuals to ensure best practices throughout the software development life-cycle.
- Set the team priorities to support the broader organization’s goals, collaborate with executive leadership to discover the technical roadmap for the cold storage platform.
- Communicate with partner teams and build alignment on strategy, decision-making, and project plan.
- Make direct technical contributions (e.g., design, development, debugging issues) to the cold storage platform development.
- Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role, meet regularly with individuals to provide feedback and coaching, fostering their growth and career development.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Experience in leading large complex infrastructure projects and delivering them to production.
- Experience in building distributed storage systems (e.g., blob/object, file, block).
- Excellent people management and communication skills, and ability to build consensus.
