Job Details:
Job Description:
This position requires candidates to upload a resume in English; you are welcome to upload multiple versions of your resume if you prefer but an English version of your resume will be required to be considered for this position.
The Memory Electrical Validation Engineer defines and executes electrical validation strategies for memory I/O interfaces to ensure optimal electrical performance and support product production goals. This role involves validating analog circuit behavior, signal integrity compliance, and system‑level margins to ensure stable operation and accurate production projections. The engineer will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to drive design improvements, enhance validation methodologies, and ensure product quality and standards compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Validation & Strategy Development
- Define the electrical validation strategy for memory I/O interfaces to achieve optimized electrical performance and meet production requirements.
- Validate analog circuit behavior, electrical signal integrity, and compliance with industry-standard specifications.
- Assess system-level margins to ensure stable operation and accurate prediction of production targets.
MRC (Memory Reference Code) Analysis & Optimization
- Define MRC requirements for validation and margin optimization.
- Analyze, debug, validate, and optimize MRC steps, parameters, and values to enhance product margins and overall quality.
Research, Design & Architecture Collaboration
- Conduct and participate in multidisciplinary research for the design, development, testing, and validation of memory I/O and mixed‑signal architectures.
- Work across both standard datacom interfaces and custom interface solutions.
- Collaborate with architecture, design, and presilicon verification teams to ensure DFT (Design for Test) and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) practices support robust validation.
Validation Infrastructure & Procedures
- Develop validation procedures, methodologies, and infrastructure to support electrical and system-level margin validation.
- Test interactions between electrical design features using advanced validation infrastructures.
- Prepare validation specifications, evaluate IP blocks, and generate comprehensive test reports.
Debug, Analysis & Quality Assurance
- Perform electrical debug to identify root causes of functional or triage failures and drive resolution.
- Analyze internal and external customer returns to improve manufacturing yields and close test escapes.
- Apply independent engineering judgment to evaluate and select components, equipment, and tools based on specifications and performance analysis.
Standards Compliance & Product Assurance
- Ensure all products, interfaces, and results conform to electrical standards, design specifications, and industry requirements.
- Support continuous improvement of validation processes, margin evaluation strategies, and electrical testing methodologies.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1+ year of experience in:
- Hardware lab environment with computer systems and validation stations
- Programming/Scripting knowledge/skills
- Advance English level.
- Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (this role is not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with programming in Python
- Knowledge of Microprocessor architecture
- Knowledge of analog circuits and design
Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
