Strategic Sourcing Manager (Image Sensors, Optics)
Description
As Meta’s Wearables roadmap proliferates to serve an expanding consumer base, delivering compelling user experiences in camera and imaging applications, technology requires rapid evolution in performance, scale and costs. We are seeking an experienced sourcing professional with a technical background in image sensors to drive strategy definition and sourcing of image sensor components used in products such as cameras, smartphones, AR/VR devices, and other consumer electronics.
Responsibilities
• Develop cohesive supply chain and sourcing strategies aligned with product roadmaps, technical and commercial goals. Communicate trade-offs, advise internal partners, drive consensus among key stakeholders and executive leadership • Research and identify potential suppliers of image sensors globally, assess supplier capabilities, technology roadmap, and quality standards, conduct supplier audits and technical assessments • Lead commercial negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions, draft, review, and manage contracts and supply agreements, ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations • Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product development, and quality teams to define technical requirements • Collaborate with legal, finance, and operations to support sourcing activities • Build and maintain solid relationships with key suppliers • Stay updated on market trends, emerging technologies, and industry landscape in image sensors, provide strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders • Drive supplier readiness activities to execute development builds leading up to ramp, development of process qualifications plans, and defining capacity and capex requirements, clearly identifying deliverables and dependencies • Manage production ramps with suppliers in close collaboration with operational teams, and deliver supply against demand forecast. Build contingency strategies to support and maintain supply continuity through program lifetimes. Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or cost • Assesses, analyzes, consolidates, and communicates risk and status clearly and succinctly to management, calling out key issues and presenting options for resolution to the cross-functional executive team through the new product reviews and other executive forums • Liaise across cross-functional teams to ensure product cost, manufacturability, reliability, product quality, and safety & compliance performance goals are met • Work with Product Cost Engineers to track and drive product cost targets throughout mass production
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science or higher in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain/Operations discipline or equivalent experience • 5+ years’ experience in a Sourcing role for high-volume consumer electronics device • Proven background in advanced Image sensor technology and manufacturing processes • Proven problem solving and analytical skills, including advanced skills in Excel • Experience with product features/specifications, manufacturing processes and the supply chain for consumer electronics products • Experience influencing stakeholders, managing internal partnerships, external suppliers and manufacturers • Project management experience, including cross-functional stakeholder management • Experience navigating ambiguity in a time-sensitive environment and prioritize multiple and competing work threads to maximizing impact
Compensation: $168,000/year to $234,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
