About the team and the role:

eBay, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in San Jose, CA 

What you will accomplish: 

Job Duties: Design, document, develop and test various software projects related to Identity and authentication at eBay. Build optimal and scalable software solutions using technical knowledge and skills. Work autonomously on development task within a software application or service. Translate product and design documentations into software code independently. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in appropriate programming languages such as Java, Javascripts, Python. Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and support. Ensure code quality and facilitate collaboration using software engineering best practices, such as version control, code reviews, continuous integration, and automated testing. Define software requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Analyze and improve the performance, scalability, and stability of software applications. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in existing software applications. Provide post-deployment support, including monitoring software performance and addressing any issues that arise in production environments. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

What you will bring:

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.

Special Skill Requirements: 

  • Java
  •  Spring MVC and Springboot
  •  Software Testing, and TestNG or Selenium, and CI/CD integrations
  •  Web Services
  •  Distributed Systems
  •  Database Systems (SQL or NoSQL)
  •  Data Structure and Algorithms
  •  Web Development (Javascript, HTML, CSS, NodeJs, and React)
  •  Cloud and BigData Technologies (Spark or Kafka, and Kubernetes or Docker)
  •  Tools (GitHub, Maven or Gradle, and IntelliJ)

Salary: $136,297.00-190,100.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. 

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
