Data Center Site Project Manager
Description
The Data Center Site Project Manager (PM) is responsible for driving large-scale, cross-functional data center projects to successful completion. This includes ensuring site readiness for capacity deployment and resolving operational interdependencies across infrastructure pillars. The PM enables efficient capacity delivery by managing projects that prepare the data center infrastructure for server and hardware installations.
Responsibilities
Project & Initiative Management: Assess day-to-day work and support areas managed by other PM functions. Establish plans for new projects, define schedules, scope, and risk analysis Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project/program progress, define communication paths, and lead local collaboration channels (meetings, groups, reports) Process Improvement: Act as a conduit for feedback on processes deployed at data centers and coordinate regional projects with local resources Operational Coordination: Manage and balance a portfolio of site-specific initiatives, including continuous and operational projects, and ensure on-time delivery of milestones Standardization: Define and standardize processes to drive consistency and efficiency across Meta’s data center sites Escalation & Issue Resolution: Serve as a local escalation point for issues affecting project delivery and facilitate resolution when support outside the project team is required
Qualifications
7+ years of project management, program management, business operations, or communications experience (varies by level) Experience managing end-to-end projects in high-growth environments Experience managing and prioritizing multiple concurrent initiatives Demonstrated organizational, communication, and presentation skills Experience working across multi-disciplinary teams and time zones Project management experience in building scalable initiatives and translating strategic goals into tactical projects Experience in 24/7/365 critical operations environments Technical knowledge in server hardware, operating systems, capacity planning, data center cooling/power, asset management, fiber/network technology, and data center construction
Compensation: $118,000/year to $170,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
