As a Specialist Intern, you will learn to identify sales opportunities under direct supervision, focusing on leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) tools to analyze customer data and predict potential sales opportunities. You will learn about whitespace analysis activities and how to identify business opportunities, solution area and trends that may impact sales plays, incorporating AI-driven predictive analytics to forecast future market needs. You will learn about solutions that facilitate AI- and cloud-driven transformations for customers within their solution area.

Specialist Interns learn about sales pipeline reviews to promote forecasting accuracy and meeting sales targets, ensuring the use of AI-powered analytics and forecasting tools to enhance precision  recruit, onboard, and manage relationships with Microsoft partners; differentiating the value of partnering with Microsoft versus competitors. You will align partners to strategic accounts and identify market opportunities through industry analysis and intelligence.

Responsibilities

About: Ru’aa Program is Microsoft's program tailored for Saudi Nationals, aiming to accelerate Saudi employability and create market impact through Early-in-Profession recruitment, and skilling programs.

Program overview:  Microsoft Ru’aa Internship is a paid six-month training program that offers globally recognized technical and professional certifications & skills, and on-the-job training to include mentoring, coaching, job shadowing and real-life scenario assignments.

Program Details: The 6 months, full-time  program is divided into two key phases (Phase 1 - Onboarding & Skilling, Phase 2 - On The Job Training)

Phase oneOnboarding & Skilling Bootcamp (1 month)

    • Onboarding and introduction to Microsoft’s mission, culture, strategy & structure.
    • Technical skilling to obtain globally recognized Microsoft technical certifications.
    • Professional and soft skilling courses including project management, change management, effective interpersonal skills, creativity and innovation, and time management.

Phase two: On-the-job training (5 months)

    • Joining as a Specialist Intern for on-the-job shadowing and training.
    • Mentorship and coaching sessions.
    • Supporting Microsoft teams in digital transformation projects.
    • Advanced technology trainings including AI, Machine Learning & Cloud Computing.

Responsibilities:

  • Learns about the customer’s security priorities and how to apply sales strategies, that showcase Microsoft's dedication to secure, AI-powered transformation and addressing their specific needs within the customer success plan, fostering long-term partnerships through AI-driven insights. Learns to navigate and activate partner teams, resources and relationships, driving co-selling strategies and partner attach to each opportunity early in the sales lifecycle. Participates in connection to the partner organization (i.e. GPS) to drive share, partner health, that aligns with execution plans to accelerate customer value realization at scale.
  • Learns how to assess and qualify sales opportunities following sales frameworks and guidelines, ensuring alignment with AI-enhanced sales methodologies and best practices. Participates in collaborations across organizations (e.g., Account Team Unit [ATU], CSU, Industry Solutions Delivery [ISD], Global Partner Solutions [GPS]) to learn about deal orchestration and handoffs throughout the deal lifecycle with clear guidance. Learns about best practices to gain customer buy-in, secure deals, and manage risks.
  • Learns about sales pipeline reviews to promote forecasting accuracy and meeting sales targets, ensuring the use of AI-powered analytics and forecasting tools to enhance precision. Learns how to maintain sales and/or consumption pipeline hygiene to achieve assigned sales metrics using all available tools, resources, and processes. Learns to maintain usage and/or consumption pipeline hygiene to actively monitor adoption trends, identify opportunities for intervention, enabling customers to realize the value of solutions purchased, drive expansion, and ensure healthier, more predictable renewals.
  • Learns to provide feedback to contribute to the enhancement of the customer portfolio. Utilizes technology (e.g., AI sales agents, automation, Power Platforms) to support growth within the assigned area following clear direction. Works with manager and others to review propensity, renewal, consumption, and usage data to help inform sales strategy prioritization.
  • Learns to identify sales opportunities under direct supervision, focusing on leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) tools to analyze customer data and predict potential sales opportunities. Supports others in contributing to customer success as directed. Develops knowledge about technological advancements and their market influence. Adheres to security principles in customer interactions, opportunity, and pursuits to maintain trust and compliance standards.
  • Learns about solution area and trends that may impact sales plays, incorporating AI-driven predictive analytics to forecast future market needs. Participates in discussions with team members to understand how solutions can support customer business objectives.
  • Learns about whitespace analysis activities and how to identify business opportunities under close supervision. Learns about assessing market intelligence and trends. Follows established market analysis approach to help align sales strategies with market trends with clear guidance.
  • Learns about solutions that facilitate AI- and cloud-driven transformations for customers within their solution area. Learns to apply existing strategies to help differentiate Microsoft's offerings in a competitive landscape under direct supervision.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing/ completed a Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Business, or related field.
  • Saudi nationality.
  • Legally authorized to work in Saudi Arabia (Legally authorized = Has citizenship or has been granted a valid visa or work permit).
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Passion for technology and customer obsessed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills. 
  • Strong balance of both business and technical skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical consulting, technical consultative selling, product development, or related technical/sales experience is a plus.
