Technical Program Manager, Audio - AI Glasses
Description
As Audio Technical Program Manager for Wearables Hardware Engineering Group, you will lead multidisciplinary programs through the NPI process to develop the next generation of AI Glasses. You will establish requirements with internal and external customers, manage program schedules, identify risks and associated mitigation plans, and clearly communicate to program stakeholders. Responsibilities
Partner with the audio hardware engineering team to enable the definition, design, and execution of hardware Coordinate and drive engineering deliverables, such as subsystem specifications, DOE results, and validation results Coordinate with other internal cross functional design and operations teams including product design, manufacturing engineering, firmware, and software to develop cohesive development plans Manage external design resources, suppliers, and contract manufacturers (CM, ODM, or JDM) Develop project schedule, communicate program statuses, and identify/address potential setbacks Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and technology development processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment to ensure on time delivery Ensure program documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review Optimize program structure for clarity and efficiency, ensuring effective communication within and between internal and external teams Up to 20% travel
Qualifications
BS in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, acoustic engineering, related technical discipline, or equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in consumer electronics industry 2+ years experience managing technical projects Experience with phase gate approach to technology development projects Experience with program and issue tracking and building complex development schedules Experience with product development phases from initial concept to mass production 3+ years experience working with design and manufacturing of audio HW subsystems for complex consumer electronic devices Experience with head-mounted products or devices Experience with manufacturing under JDM, ODM, and OEM models
Compensation: $108,000/year to $164,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
