Introduction

We are seeking an experienced AI Software Application Engineer to enable customer success through AI software deployment, optimization, training, and technical support. This role combines deep expertise in AI algorithms, software development, embedded systems, and customer engagement. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, R&D teams, and application engineers to accelerate AI application development and deployment on customer silicon using our AI software toolchain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver technical training programs, workshops, and presentations covering the company's AI software toolchain, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Support customers in mapping, optimizing, and deploying AI workloads—including CNNs, transformers, and LLMs—on customer silicon platforms using the company's software tools.

  • Reproduce, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues reported by customers across both pre-silicon and post-silicon development stages.

  • Collaborate closely with R&D teams to validate bug fixes, feature enhancements, and performance optimizations before customer release.

  • Develop proof-of-concept solutions, benchmark applications, and demonstration platforms that showcase the capabilities of the AI software toolchain.

  • Analyze AI performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for software optimization and hardware/software co-design improvements.

  • Create technical documentation, application notes, tutorials, and customer-facing collateral.

  • Serve as a technical liaison between customers and internal engineering teams, driving efficient issue resolution and technical alignment.

  • Support customer engagements, technical reviews, and onsite or virtual workshops as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 6 years of relevant industry experience; or

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.

Technical Skills & Experience

AI and Machine Learning

  • Deep understanding of modern AI and machine learning algorithms, including:

    • Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs)

    • Transformer architectures

    • Large Language Models (LLMs)

    • Deep learning optimization techniques

    • AI model deployment workflows

Software Development

  • Strong programming skills in:

    • Python

    • Shell scripting

    • C/C++

  • Extensive experience in software design, development, debugging, and optimization.

Embedded Systems

  • Solid experience developing and optimizing software on embedded systems and SoC platforms.

  • Experience with performance analysis, profiling, and optimization of AI workloads on embedded processors and accelerators.

  • Familiarity with software development across pre-silicon simulation/emulation environments and post-silicon hardware platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Linux device driver development and debugging.

  • Experience with AI hardware accelerators such as NPUs, DSPs, GPUs, or custom AI engines.

  • Familiarity with compiler technologies, runtime frameworks, and AI software stacks.

  • Experience with AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX, or similar ecosystems.

  • Understanding of heterogeneous computing architectures and hardware/software co-optimization methodologies.
