The Procurement & Contracts Manager at eBay plays a pivotal role in ensuring our global marketplace thrives with world-class infrastructure. This is an outstanding opportunity to contribute to the backbone of our IT operations in Salt Lake City, where collaboration and innovation drive our success.
Key Responsibilities
Telecom & Data Center Procurement
- Manage the sourcing and procurement process for telecom and data center services, ensuring scalability and cost-effectiveness
- Develop and implement category strategies aligned with our ambitious infrastructure roadmaps
- Manage RFPs/RFQs, conduct vendor evaluations, and lead commercial negotiations to secure the best terms
- Drive TCO optimization, focusing on pricing, term length, scalability, and exit flexibility
Contracts & Commercial Management
- Manage the entire contract lifecycle for telecom and data center agreements, including MSAs and service schedules
- Negotiate complex terms, ensuring SLAs and availability commitments are met
- Collaborate with Legal to address regulatory and security considerations
- Ensure contracts clearly define technical requirements and operational responsibilities
Supplier & Performance Management
- Manage strategic supplier relationships and track performance metrics
- Establish and monitor SLAs, benchmarks, and service credits to ensure network reliability
- Support incident and blocking issue processes from a commercial perspective
- Lead vendor rationalization initiatives to reduce risk and improve resiliency
Collaborator & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the primary procurement partner, working closely with Global Connectivity and Services
- Collaborate with Finance for forecasting and budgeting
- Partner with Security and Risk teams on third-party assessments and audits
- Provide mentorship on contract terms and supplier risk management
Governance & Process Improvement
- Develop and maintain procurement standards and guidelines for telecom and data center categories
- Improve contracting and sourcing processes to support speed and compliance
- Maintain accurate contract and asset records
- Support regulatory and compliance requirements related to telecom services
Qualifications
Required
- Over 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or contracts management, concentrating on telecom or data center services
- Proven track record in negotiating telecom and colocation agreements
- Strong understanding of network services, SLAs, and commercial models
- Ability to manage complex supplier relationships globally
Preferred
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure or technology platforms
- Familiarity with telecom regulations across regions
- Experience with cloud interconnects and hybrid infrastructure models

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$71,600 - $123,400Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
