Financial Analyst, YouTube Creator Ecosystem and Monetization
Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.
In this role, you will create financial models and drive strategic analyses to investigate business questions impacting the YouTube Creator Ecosystem. You will lead projects, provide analytical support, and develop a Finance point of view (POV) for several creator-centric initiatives, including brand sponsorships and paid creator promotion. You will help build an understanding of cause and effect between product updates or strategic investments and creator earnings across various surfaces and products, using these insights to inform decision making and financial long-term and annual planning.
As a key contributor in a high-energy environment, you will analyze financial data to generate data-driven solutions and communicate insights to leadership. You are experienced in complex financial modeling and can identify business issues while partnering effectively with cross-functional teams, including product activation/GTM and product.
You will be organized, entrepreneurial, and take initiative capable of making recommendations based on ambiguous or incomplete data.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Analyze and model the financial impact of various strategic funding initiations, distribution deals, and incentive programs, developing data-driven Finance POVs on how to maximize long-term value for YouTube.
- Own discretionary tracking and management for relevant programs, and partner with the CAC team to incorporate new information into the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP).
- Work cross-functionally to support decision-making for new spend initiatives and business trade-offs, developing and representing a Finance POV to help drive the organization toward the right long-term outcomes and ensuring that financial considerations are taken into account where appropriate across product launches and GTM efforts impacting creator monetization.
- Use structured thinking, complex modeling, and investigative insights to influence the core economics of emerging initiatives.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
- Experience executing full-cycle FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in management consulting, investment banking, finance, corporate strategy or similar environment.
- Proficiency with SQL or similar database querying languages and database schema.
- Ability to take initiative in an unstructured environment; comfortable with ambiguity and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent investigative and spreadsheet software modeling skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills, combined with business judgment, leadership skills and ability to communicate with executives and senior management teams.
