Overview

Geo Commercial HR is building a new capability to accelerate the strategic work that will redefine how HR delivers value to the business. You will join the enterprise level Dynamic Agile Resourcing Team (DART). We’re hiring a Delivery Manager to lead enterprise wide initiatives through agile squads, turning strategy into tangible outcomes at pace.

This is a foundational role. You won’t be stepping into an established model, you’ll help shape how this capability operates and define what great looks like from day one. If you’re energised by transformation, agile delivery at scale, and the chance to build something new at Microsoft, this is that opportunity! Note: this role has flexibility to be based in other locations in Asia where a Microsoft site is present.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

As Delivery Manager, you’ll lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives through agile squads drawn from across HR. You’ll set direction, drive execution, and keep multiple streams of work moving toward meaningful outcomes. Specifically, you will:

  • Define and communicate the product vision for the initiatives you lead, translating strategic intent into a clear "what" and "why" the squad can rally behind.
  • Run the work in sprints -- set the cadence, lead all squad ceremonies, and keep the team focused on the highest-value outcomes one cycle at a time.
  • Shape the backlog for your initiatives -- break work into sprint-sized pieces, sequence the path to outcome, and hold the line on scope so the squad ships meaningful value.
  • Bring squads together from a shared pool -- partner with squad members drawn from across HR teams, build them into a high-functioning unit quickly, and transition the work effectively so squad members are set up for what comes next.
  • Engage stakeholders end-to-end -- keep sponsors and senior leaders aligned, informed, and bought in across the life of the initiatives you lead. You are the single accountable point of contact for the work you lead.
  • Be accountable for delivery and impact -- oversee quality, communicate progress, surface blockers, and close the loop on outcomes.
  • Contribute to how we work -- help embed agile ways of working across Commercial HR and lift squad members' delivery capability through the experience of working in your team.

What good looks like

Success in this role looks like turning ambitious priorities into visible progress and lasting organisational impact. You’ll be measured on how well you deliver against committed sprint outcomes, the quality and adoption of what you produce, the confidence you build with stakeholders, and whether squad members leave stronger than they started.

Who you'll work with

You’ll typically lead squads of 4-8 people drawn from across HR, including HRBPs, COE specialists, and analytics partners. You’ll partner closely with the leaders setting strategic priorities, the teams managing portfolio and capacity decisions, and the wider HR organisation to keep work aligned, connected, and moving.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, HR, or related field AND 6+ years experience in leading complex, cross-functional programs of work as a Product Owner, Senior Program Manager or Delivery Lead.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experienced in working across timezones with exposure in supporting across multiple countries in a regional or global portfolio.
  • Experience embedding AI tools into delivery workflows and/or using data-informed solutions to move faster and improve outcomes.
  • Confident in engaging senior leaders, translating strategic intent into execution, and building credibility with executives and sponsors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferably 10+ of relevant work experiences. HR domain experience or experience partnering closely with HR / People functions on strategic delivery is a plus.
  • Formal agile certification or equivalent demonstrated Agile delivery experience e.g. to run agile delivery at scale, including sprint-based execution, backlog shaping, etc.
  • You’ve led work that fundamentally changed how an organisation operates; for example through new operating models, new ways of working, or new service delivery models.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and standing up new ways of working without waiting for someone to hand you a playbook -- you’re the person who writes it.
  • Clear, concise communicator who can craft executive-ready narratives in both written and verbal settings.
