This internship is a fixed-term opportunity lasting approximately 12 months, with the potential for extension subject to the approval of both parties.

We are the Data Center and AI Platform Validation Organization within the Data Center Group at Intel, driving Data Center, AI, and Cloud transformation through innovation, reliability, and proven performance. Intel is a global leader and preferred provider of server technology and products, understanding the needs of the modern data center and harnessing years of experience and design expertise to deliver a broad portfolio of innovative server products, systems, and solutions to help businesses grow and be competitive in the market.

We are seeking a Server Platform Validation and Debug intern to join the Intel Xeon Accelerated Performance/Scalable Performance (AP/SP) Platform Integration and Validation team. This role involves working with reference and custom systems to collaborate in the validation of server platforms that showcase Intel's futuristic datacenter products. The position requires a combination of validation and execution engineering, serving as a critical link among the silicon, board, system, ingredient development, and platform integration/validation teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute Server platform Pre-Silicon and Post-Silicon validation plans for current and future products.

  • Deploy validation efforts to ensure the quality of Server Platform and Silicon.

  • Pursue debug efforts for issues found during Pre-silicon, Power-On, Post-silicon, Customer engagement to product release.

  • Collaborate in cross-functional engagement with Design, Silicon validation, IP teams, Execution/Automation teams, and Program leads.

  • Develop and execute validation tasks, review requirements coverage, lead execution, drive debug and taskforces for issues resolution.

  • Develop test content to cover product requirements accordingly.

Qualifications:

This position is not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship. You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Fluent proficiency in English.

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering/Science or Mechatronics Engineering or STEM related degree.

  • 3+ months of hands-on technical experience embedded system design (HW, BIOS, OS, Drivers, etc.)
