The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain a highly performant, ultra low latency framework for multi-resource fair scheduling.
  • Develop and tune resource-aware scheduling algorithms, evolving the current scheduling model to support workload.
  • Architect and implement concurrency techniques that minimize memory latency, and reduce lock contention while ensuring high throughput.
  • Profile, benchmark, and load-test the system to quantify gains in CPU efficiency and latency reduction. Integrate GCS services, develop synthetic workloads that guarantee the correctness of the integration.
  • Collaborate with other engineers on the team to build a fair resource scheduling framework.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in the programming language C++.
  • Experience in distributed computing, infrastructure systems, systems-level C++, and experience building infrastructure.
  • Experience in concurrency and memory management, such as implementing custom allocators, and low contention data structures.
  • Experience with performance analysis, using tools to diagnose and resolve bottlenecks related to CPU, memory, and cache.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in concurrency, performance, and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of scheduling algorithms.
