gTech Ads is responsible for all support and media and technical services for customers big and small across our entire Ad products stack. We help our customers get the most out of our Ad and Publisher products and guide them when they need help. We provide a range of services from enabling better self help and in-product support, to providing better support through interactions, setting up accounts and implementing ad campaigns, and providing media solutions for customers business and marketing needs and providing complex technical and measurement solutions along with consultative support for our large customers. These solutions range from bespoke and customized ones for our customers to scalable support for millions of customers worldwide. Based on the evolving needs of our ads customers, we partner with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better solutions, tools, and services to improve our products and enhance our client experience. As a cross-functional and global team, we ensure our customers get the best return on investment with Google and we remain a trusted partner.

As a Customer Solutions Engineer (CSE), you will deliver technical solutions and consulting to Google's advertisers, advertising agencies, and partners. You will leverage Google Cloud's advanced infrastructure and AI/ML capabilities to architect, develop, and implement customized solutions that drive business transformation. You will bridge the gap between technical possibilities and real-world business needs, helping clients optimize their advertising technology stack, automate workflows, and unlock data-driven insights.

We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the nuances of clients within the industry and develop subject matter expertise in trending spaces.
  • Architect, develop, and deliver solutions leveraging Google's ecosystem, including Google Cloud and Google AI capabilities, to maximize the potential of Google Ads and Google Marketing Platform products.
  • Work closely with Google's largest advertisers, agencies, and partners to understand their issues, collect requirements, and provide solutions, consultancy, and best practices to apply ad products and technologies to achieve their business goals.
  • Identify and solve client problems proactively and creatively through effective project management and consultation on technical setup.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • Experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience with Generative AI tools and platforms.
  • Ability to communicate in Italian fluently to support client relationships in this market.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Google Cloud to demonstrate and prototype solutions and integrations in customer or partner environments.
  • Experience with automating decision pipelines based on machine learning methodologies and data science techniques.
  • Experience with the ad-serving industry and MarTech.
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, frameworks, and solutions in the Cloud, AI and Ads technology space.
  • Ability to absorb technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience effectively.
  • Ability to interact with customers and business organizations.
