Senior Staff Software Engineer, Regulated Cloud Solutions

In this role, you will be working on priority for Cloud security and privacy and will help Google Cloud succeed in highly regulated industries like Healthcare, Public Sector, Higher Education, and more.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-$349,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Be an uber tech lead for Regulated Cloud Solutions.
- Lead a full-stack team driving key features for one of Google cloud platform (GCP's) critical security products.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance our platform. Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Partner and collaborate with related engineering teams, managers, product management and program management to ensure the development of high-quality solutions in a timely way
- Collaborate, mentor and develop other team members. Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of software development experience, programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin or Go.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with security, privacy and compliance.
- Experience as a technical lead, mentoring and coaching other engineers.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 3 years of experience working in a structured organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
