About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced IP Operations Specialist to join our growing legal team and serve as the operational backbone of our intellectual property program. In this role, you will partner closely with our IP attorneys and outside counsel to help manage our trademark, domain, and patent portfolios, lead our online brand protection efforts, and ensure flawless execution of our IP protection strategies. Responsibilities:

Lead Anthropic's online brand protection program, managing relationships with external vendors, reviewing, actioning, and tracking a heavy volume of infringements, and escalating enforcement matters to IP attorneys and outside counsel where appropriate

Manage global trademark portfolio administration, including application filings, office action response coordination, and portfolio maintenance across multiple jurisdictions, in coordination with IP attorneys and outside counsel

Support patent administration, including processing invention disclosures, coordinating patent application filings, gathering inventor signatures on assignments and other patent prosecution documents, managing annuity payments, and maintaining patent records

Maintain and manage IP docketing systems, ensuring all IP assets are properly tracked and monitored

Conduct preliminary trademark clearance searches to support new product launches, features, and brand initiatives

Manage domain name portfolio, including new registrations, renewals, and transfers, and other domain-related initiatives

Organize and maintain IP documentation and records to support due diligence activities and strategic initiatives
You may be a good fit if you have:

10+ years of IP operations specialist experience with demonstrated deep expertise in both trademark and patent portfolio management

Strong proficiency with IP management software systems (Symphony or similar platforms)

Substantial experience with brand protection programs and enforcement activities, including online infringement monitoring and takedown coordination

Proven track record of managing complex, multi-jurisdictional IP portfolios

Extensive experience coordinating with and managing relationships with outside counsel firms and external vendors domestically and internationally

Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple complex projects simultaneously

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with attorneys, business teams, and external vendors at all levels

Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently and proactively identify and solve problems

A sense of humor
Strong candidates may have:

Deep knowledge of international filing procedures (Madrid Protocol, PCT, Paris Convention)

The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$220,000-$285,000 USD
Logistics
Education requirements: We require at least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
