This is a temporary position, with a contract length of 1 years, with the potential to be extended. We are seeking a passionate Power/Thermal Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this temporary one-year role, you will play a crucial part in developing cutting-edge software capabilities for Intel Server products, ensuring high-quality launches and in-Fleet product experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain power diagnostic and thermal analysis tools to optimize Intel Server performance.

• Define and drive critical power and thermal stress workloads across platforms, developing a roadmap for power management integration.

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to replicate and debug power and thermal issues, providing impact assessments and solutions.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Fluent English

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical, Electronics or related STEM field.

• 4+ years of experience of experience in any of the following:

  • Software development experience.

  • C/C++ programming and debugging, including object-oriented design.

  • With multithreaded programming techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in:

  • x86 assembly coding and debugging

  • Knowledge of Intel Xeon architecture, including Un-Core and platform. Familiarity with system software components such as Linux and Windows internals, drivers, and runtime.

  • Knowledge in Xeon performance monitoring tools and hardware hooks. Familiarity with thermal and power customer validation and debug use models.

  • Familiarity with system software components such as Linux and Windows internals, drivers, and runtime.
