Join us on the cutting edge! Meta is looking for a Governance Manager. In this role you will work closely with the rest of the Governance Team as we navigate novel and complex issues related to the governance of social media, AI, wearables and other Meta products. You will work closely with our team, as well as Meta's policy, external affairs, communications, marketing and legal verticals, to help promote Meta’s governance narratives and mechanisms, support engagement with academic, policy and business stakeholders, and develop proactive responses to new and emerging governance questions. You should be knowledgeable in content governance and AI governance issues, have experience of managing external events and developing stakeholder engagement strategies, be highly organized, and possess experience collaborating with cross-functional partners. You should also have the capacity to meet high expectations and be prepared to plan and execute complicated tasks for different regions and topics.

Responsibilities

Identify, monitor, and analyze governance issues affecting Meta at the international, regional, and domestic levels Develop narratives, research and briefings on the governance of social media and AI Develop and deliver stakeholder engagement strategies for valuable external partners (e.g., academic experts, thought leaders, business partners and policymakers) Identify changing business and regulatory trends and help develop proactive governance strategies Organize delightful external events to promote our governance narratives and mechanisms to external partners

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in public policy, law, technology, consulting or similar field Extensive experience in governance matters Experience collaborating with policymakers and thought leaders Familiarity with AI Experience presenting to internal and external audiences Bachelor's degree in Policy or a related field

Compensation: $153,000/year to $224,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
