Analytical Chemistry Lab Engineer

The Analytical Chemistry Lab engineer will work with the Lab technicians and the Lab manager in support of Intel Ocotillo site manufacturing operations.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Preparing chemical analysis methodologies in a semiconductor fab environment and incoming raw materials quality control.

  • Supporting the development of advanced analytical chemistry technology to fulfil next-generation requirements.

  • Employing chemical analysis expertise in assisting factory engineers on event prevention, root cause clarification and trouble shooting.

  • Driving lab systems engineering including the development of solutions to improve lab quality, compliance, and throughput.

  • Driving monitoring, record keeping, and reporting for lab equipment including maintenance, service, calibration, and testing activities.

  • Assisting and providing mentorship of lab technicians to drive lab execution including engineering analysis, instrumentation, data analysis, and result reporting.

  • Resolving reported bugs and root causes issues that could impact product quality and experience.

  • Ensuring lab preparedness including bench setup, procurement of test equipment and other lab materials, and infrastructure requirements.

  • Collaborating with functional teams such as IT, security, and facilities to maintain a successful lab. Develops and coordinates the design, development, and implementation of new ideas, processes, and systems for lab improvements needed to meet program deliverables.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physical Science or related engineering field with 1+ years of relevant experience

Relevant Experience should include the following:

  • Experience in chemical analysis techniques such as ICP-MS, GC-MS, IC/LC-MS; both instrument operation and method development.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing facility or lab facility.

  • 3+ years of experience with instrument operation and method development using ICPMS, Assay (titration or densitometry), GCMS, Ion Chromatography, Liquid Chromatography highly desired.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $89,010.00-170,630.00 USDThe range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
