Amazon WorkSpaces, WorkSpaces Core, AppStream 2.0, WorkSpaces Secure Browser and WorkSpaces Thin Clients make-up the AWS managed service platform for End User computing based in the Amazon cloud. This suite enable customers to choose the optimal virtual desktop, secure browser, or application streaming service for your specific needs—enabling workers to be productive from any supported device, while maintaining a strong security posture, improving agility, and reducing cost. This position is part of the Amazon Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

Key job responsibilities
  • Drive revenue and market share across the UK Public Sector through value-based selling, TCO analysis, ROI analysis, and reference account development.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets within UKI Public Sector territory.
  • Execute comprehensive account/territory plans targeting the UK Central Government; Regional Public Sector (Local gov, non-profit, education and healthcare); National Security, Defence and Public Safety.
  • Manage end-to-end sales process engaging Solutions Architects, Public Sector Professional Services, AWS Executives, and accredited Partners.
  • Address public sector concerns: data sovereignty, UK data residency, spending transparency, GDS standards alignment.
  • Maintain robust sales pipeline understanding longer government procurement cycles.
  • Work with accredited Public Sector partners and system integrators to drive adoption and scale through developing repeatable offerings that meet the needs of specific verticals (healthcare, policing etc.)
  • Close new and add-on business, develop case studies and reference accounts through strategic relationships with key departments.
  • Support RFI, RFP, and ITT responses with EUC technical and commercial content.
  • Moderate travel across UKI government sites and public sector events.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS selling to C-level executives, with 3+ years in UK Public Sector
  • 5+ years business development, Go-To-Market, partner development, or alliances management, preferably in UK government/public sector
  • Experience growing UK Public Sector customer relationships and understanding mission/operational requirements
  • Experience with UK government security classifications (OFFICIAL, OFFICIAL-SENSITIVE) and public sector data protection
  • Ability to operate with ambiguity in matrixed organizations navigating complex public sector stakeholders
  • Quota-carrying technology field sales or business development selling to UK central government, NHS, local authorities, or public sector
  • Experience with Citrix, VMware, VDI, SaaS, DaaS, Virtual Workplaces, secure remote access for government
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • UK Public Sector knowledge: central government, arm's length bodies, NHS, local government, devolved administrations
  • Experience with G-Cloud, Digital Outcomes and Specialists, Technology Products and Services frameworks
  • Strong communication skills with government executives, CIOs, CTOs, IT management, procurement teams
  • Cloud computing experience in regulated/government environments
  • Experience managing large Enterprise and Public Sector accounts across geographical territories
  • Experience with Public Sector partners and system integrators serving UK government
