The Production program is an Site Reliability initiative with the mission to meaningfully reduce the amount of time a typical Google engineer spends on basic service management in production.

Responsibilities

  • Build software that automates production rollouts for service owners at Google and brings safety, stability and trust in the process.
  • Focus on supporting the core infrastructure components, driving reliability and performance improvements.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
  • Write product or systems of development code

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in C++, Python or Go, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience working with large-scale distributed systems.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
