We are the Settings platform team within Android, and we are on a mission to transform Android Settings to a powerful platform that fuels Android's AI capabilities. Our work directly shapes how users perceive their Android and Pixel devices, and influence the success of the Android and Pixel businesses.

In this role, you will lead some critical projects within the Android, including AI-enablement. You will build high-impact projects that span multiple teams and organizations, collaborating with engineers worldwide to bring innovative ideas to applications building widgets and shortcuts.

Responsibilities

Collaborate across key cross-functional areas to scope, design, and implement improvements to Android Settings.
Assume technical ownership, leading project design, development, and testing.
Work with our developer relations and product team to improve our developer experience to enable developers to build higher quality widgets and surface higher quality shortcuts.
Comply with all company health and safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in Java, Kotlin or equivalent programming languages.
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
1 year of experience with Android application or operating systems development.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience with Android application or operating systems development.
1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
