About the Team

Join Oracle's cutting-edge Data Platform team, where innovation meets scale. We build and support high-performance, enterprise-grade database solutions that power mission-critical applications for customers across the globe. Our team partners closely with Engineering, Product Management, Customer Success, and Support to solve complex database performance challenges while ensuring exceptional scalability, reliability, and availability. We thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment focused on delivering world-class database performance for enterprise workloads.

Role Overview

As a Principal Site Reliability Developer, you will play a critical role in improving the performance, scalability, and reliability of Oracle Database environments supporting enterprise-scale applications. This role is primarily focused on Performance Engineering, where you will analyse complex production workloads, investigate database performance issues, optimize SQL execution, and drive proactive performance improvements across large-scale Oracle environments. You will work closely with engineering teams to diagnose performance bottlenecks across SQL, PL/SQL, database architecture, and application interactions. While experience with PL/SQL development is essential, it is primarily required to optimize existing database logic and improve application performance rather than build new database applications.
