As a Software Engineering Manager you manage your project goals, contribute to product strategy and help develop your team. With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

In this role, you will help us organize the team for efficient work, drive team development, and execute on the critical global infrastructure programs. You will bring significant user experience improvements to our customers as well as provide the most secure infrastructure in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a team of 7-12 engineers with managerial, and technical skills.
  • Learn significant part of the cluster management stack.
  • Plan, execute and align with broader organization goals.
  • Drive Borglet-wide or compute infrastructure-wide programs as an execution owner.
  • Develop team and work allocation as a part of the job.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 2 years of experience in managing a team of 7-12 people.
  • Experience architecting and developing distributed systems.
  • Experience in concurrency, multithreading and synchronization.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with infrastructure systems, linux, virtualization.
